The app is structured around 5 areas of action:
Assess of your situation. Complete our 10 minute survey, and learn the basics about mental health, mental ill-health and suicide. With 1 in 5 Australians experiencing mental illness each year, understanding how to identify the early warning signs and how you can help yourself, or someone close to you is an important first step.
Help yourself. The best way to kickstart mental health in your business, is to look after your most important asset, you. The healthier and more resilient you are, the healthier your business has the chance to be. We focus in on the simple things you can include in your everyday routine to enhance your wellbeing, reduce stress and improve your performance as a business owner.
Enable your business. Long working hours, financial strain, the pressure to work when you aren’t well, multiple responsibilities, and other stresses can contribute, or exacerbate mental health problems. We help you recognise the risks to mental health in your business, as well as what you can do to minimise or prevent them, to keep the passion that comes with running your own business alive and well.
Access support. You can make a big difference to yourself and your business by having suitable support networks in place. Find what supports are available – both professionally and within your current social networks.
Develop your plan. Use our template to do a Business Mental Health Plan for you and your business. This practical tool is designed to be easy to use, simple and make mental health an achievable focus in your business practices every day.
